A teen's perspective of an ideal society

Draw a yellow sun,

Put a happy smile on its surface,

Add three figures dancing,

Hand in hand,

Following a fictive euphoric rhythm,

Making the colors of your masterpiece brighter than usual.

This is how most of us had once visualized the world of today, following our pure clean instincts as children, whose daily life was magnified by those fairy tales our books have kept repeating.

But suddenly, we opened our eyes, looked before us, and saw nothing other than sadness, poverty, torture, and the eternal war between "the Scars" of the society.

But there's no surprise here, because since the dawn of time, humans, ambitious as they are, have searched for more resources and benefits, pursued higher status than their fellows, and sought the monopoly of life itself for nothing more than a desultory utilitarian purpose.

As George Orwell once said :

"Do you begin to see, then, what kind of world we are creating? It is the exact opposite of the stupid hedonistic Utopias that the old reformers imagined. A world of fear and treachery and torment, a world of trampling and being trampled upon, a world which will grow not less but more merciless as it refines itself. Progress in our world will be progress toward more pain."

But in the middle of all these reflections, contradictions and dreams, a mellifluous word was born, announcing the beginning of an unsolved case that had pushed many movements,  from creativism to pessimism,  to think about it, and with "it" we surely mean: Utopia

Utopia is a magical word that draws the known cruel world with new colorful shades. It gives life to the persecuted and oppressed. It helps us feel free for once and for all. We may think of it as an ideal world, where every human gets his rights and completes his duties, a system that provides health, enough wealth, and a serene environment where we can achieve ataraxy.

Its magic starts from our hearts and minds, before echoing in our whole body, making us better to our fellows and reaching a remarkable level of eco caring.

In brief, Utopia is perfection.

Let's take a deep breath now, and look back a few lines and then ask ourselves: is achieving such a fabulous goal possible to the slightest?

You may be thinking: of course... we just need to build hospitals, give people money, food and shelter and don't forget to assure the freedom of partying while giving the hard work for robots and say hi to Utopia.

But the real answer is: there is no real answer.

Some of us think that capitalism is the heart of this paradise, ignoring the fact that the main source of this ideology is cupidity and greed which are very dangerous poisons for an ideal society.

Others see communism as an answer to our question. But unfortunately, its catalyzer is just envied therefore its principals can't serve in creating an angelic world.

I know what you're thinking now:

Tear down.

Tear down and build again.

But this won't help or calm down our evil side, because simply the problem is in human nature. In other words, building a new society won't serve as a sedative for this complex creature, or help him to forget about treachery, debauchery, criminality and all the tumors reigning earth since the inception of humankind.

The heart desires Utopia, but the brain denies its possibility... so whom to believe in the labyrinth of life? - None

Just live

Be the best version of yourself

And live.
